Thumbs Up The Photography Show: Series 2
It has been a whirlwind few weeks at Thumbs Up: The Photography Show. As we reach the midpoint of Series 2, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible journey so far and thank you all for coming along for the ride—shambles and all!
Capturing the Magic: A Look Back at Episode 2
Our most recent episode was truly something special. We had the absolute pleasure of being joined by the amazing Courtney Victoria deep in the Forest of Dean for a masterclass in woodland macro photography.
Courtney shared her unique process for finding those "tiny scenes" that most people walk right past. From her "hide-and-seek" approach to hunting for fungi to the technical brilliance of focus stacking, it was an eye-opening look at how to turn the forest floor into a work of art.

But Episode 2 wasn't just about the small stuff. We also saw:
Fine Art with Steve: A beautiful, minimalist "One-Shot Wonder" at Pin Mill.
High-Flying London: Dave successfully navigated the complex permissions of the capital to get some stunning drone panoramas of the Shard and Tower Bridge.
Misty Perfection: The whole crew enjoyed some legendary conditions at Manesty Woods in the Lake District, proving that sometimes, the weather really does play ball.
The Journey Continues: Episode 3 Teaser
While we’re still buzzing from the macro magic of Episode 2, we are already gearing up for Episode 3, which drops this Thursday at 6pm.
We do not want to give too much away, but here is a hint of what is coming up on Thursday:
Commercial Gear: Steve swaps the woodland for a studio vibe with a classic VW Camper.
Continental Exploration: One of our "One-Shot Wonders" takes us across the channel to France.
The 800m View: We’re heading to the peaks for some breathtaking wild camping photography.
A Legend Returns: A piece of kit from 1963 makes an appearance that vintage fans will love.
Join the Inner Circle: Fotofums Members Area
The biggest news of the series so far is the launch of our brand new Fotofums Members Area.
If you want to go beyond the episodes, this is the place to be. It is where we share deeper insights, technical breakdowns, and behind-the-scenes content that doesn't make the main edit. It is the best way to support the show and level up your own photography alongside the team.
